Brazilian Pilgrims were gathering for a meeting in a Newcastle suburb, talking together in Portugese naturally enough. Their homestays were looking after the visitors and had taken them to see the city, which they enjoyed, and they were finding the weather very cold, which is true for all of us as today's weather is as cold as it ever gets. A light fall of snow in patches on the mountains has occured which does not happen very often. The snow is about 70 kilometres away from here.

World Youth Day was adding a splash of colour.
I read that the majority of people in Brazil are Catholics.
